The ‘Daily Impact’ interpretation reflects the impact of the Sun and Earth (70% of the neutrino influence) on what happens in the world as time moves us through the Gates and Lines of the Human Design wheel.
What is offered here is a general frame to the day, especially in terms of external conditioning and potential identification with the power of the Sun’s influence through a particular Gate theme. Also consider what is written about the grounding effect of the Gate in the Earth position of the day. Take note of the Line of the day and think about the quality of the Line and the Rave I Ching cryptic sentence. And, of course, pay attention to any Channels that may be formed on the day, as that Life Force will most certainly be relevant to whatever happens.
For those of you who are more familiar with the Gates and Channels, pay attention to the chart of the day which shows us the detail of the day’s imprint. Look for Gates that may join a ‘hanging’ Gate in your chart, notice the planetary accent it has and ponder upon its relevance to your day. Above all else, ‘The Daily Impact’ is a tool to assist subscribers to witness themselves living their life within ‘The Program’ and becoming more aware by observing the themes unfold.

Exalted: The awareness of patterns that ensures correct timing. The gift of knowing when to contribute creatively.
Detriment: Doubt, which may engender regret even in the most ideal circumstances. Uncertainty in timing and regret despite circumstances.
* Here is a depiction of one of Banksy’s ‘graffiti’ paintings. For me Banksy represents someone who is making his unique contribution. Despite being infamously anonymous, his unique street art is well known. It always has meaning and makes a difference. It is also often beautiful or poignant, which speaks of the individuality of this Gate. The Wheel shows us the 8th Gate is in the Quarter of Civilisation, which is about fulfilling one’s life through the Form, whether that be through the body or through the forms the body creates.
The 8th Gate in the transiting Sun brings us the impact of expressing a unique contribution. It is paramount to remember that if you speak in the voice of this Gate and say, “I can...” then whomever you are talking to will expect you to show them that you can... If you can’t show them, then you may as well not have spoken.
This impact of the Sun may bring to us the way to express something different from the norm and be heard and appreciated, if what is expressed can be done so honestly. It is not easy to express one’s uniqueness in a world dense with established rules, opinions and comparisons within the status quo. However, during this time, a way may emerge to get the attention to present something new.
You may also find yourself praising the uniqueness of someone’s creativity or crazy eccentricity you admire. In doing so you could find yourself being asked to connect with those whose specialness you appreciate, so they reach to a larger audience.
There may be something new that is expressed to you, something you hadn’t considered but which will make your life more beautiful, unusual or colourful.
So be open to the new during this time, both from your own mouth and from those around you. This is a transit that can bring innovative new expressions that could be worthwhile.
The timing of unique expression is crucial. It is the difference between being heard or not. Be aware of appropriate, or in some cases synchronistic, timing, when you express yourself or you receive expression from the world around you that is empowering.
As with all Individual Gates there is always the possibility of melancholy. In this case, the sadness that arises from the lack of being able to make one’s own unique contribution in the style that really expresses our truth. It may also bring to light the urge to be heard knowing that life can be so much more or that your own personal direction is not fulfilling enough for you.
Some of us may find ourselves deeply sad about someone whose unique contribution made a positive lasting impression upon us, but they are no longer alive for us to enjoy. But the melancholy is not just that they are not there for us, but that their contribution remains limited and the majority will never know of their special unique contribution.
The Sun’s impact is grounded in the 14th Gate (Earth),‘The Gate of Power Skills’. This influence can be a powerful boost in both empowerment towards a unique direction or encouragement to be ourselves. It also has a financial connotation as ‘backing’ in terms of money. So if you are operating correctly, and there comes a moment when unique contribution can be expressed, there may well be positive consequences and possibly a new direction that fits better with our uniqueness. On the other hand, beware of throwing money at some project unless there are signs it may be embraced or working too hard to make your unique contribution. You may be considering another way to contribute your uniqueness as a result of this transit.
If you have the 1st Gate in your Design this may be a time when you find someone who loves your uniqueness, who sees you and loves what they see. So step out of your uncertainty about yourself. This is a time to shine.
It could also be that a new direction, one that suits your style and individuality, becomes apparent. This could either be through a person or a unique opportunity. You yourself may see a way through to a creative direction where you will be able to be appreciated for who you are.
Your unique identity is inherent in you. You will always be a little odd. Allow this time to bring it out. But remember it needs to be invited by those around you. Beware of ‘pushing the river’ or ‘butting’ into conversations with something that others may consider to be irrelevant or simply crazy, especially if you have the 1st Gate in an Open G Centre! If the 1st Gate is in an Open G Centre be careful of trying to impose yourself on others too strongly or you could well meet resistance.
This is primarily a day when we can expect to exhibit behaviour that is more individualistic, and to notice that others are also being more true to themselves or, alternatively, being hypocritical with a “do as I say, not as I do” attitude. The basic keynote of this Line is ‘Role Model’, which is really all about being authentically oneself or not.
Generally speaking, the influence of this Line brings in a more optimistic approach to the world, one than can be more objective, and from that stance being able to see the bigger picture.
Leadership is also part of the day’s flavour, but this does not necessarily mean that we will see leadership in actions. Yes, that may well happen, but the 6th Line Leadership is one where no leadership will be forthcoming unless it can be perceived to be going somewhere, otherwise why bother? So we, or those around us, may not step into leadership position if there is no point in so doing.
Here we come to the theme of trust. If a 6th Line doesn’t trust anything will come of it, then it will not exhibit its leadership. In the larger sense, we may all be considering various trust issues with those around us. “Can we trust them?” “Do we trust them?” “Do they trust us?”
In alignment with the themes already mentioned, we should also consider the fact that the 6th Line brings us the themes of sympathy or apathy. We may find ourselves getting involved with someone if we are sympathetic to them, and not if we think there is no point and we are apathetic about them.
Get to know the themes of the Lines as they come by as regular cycles throughout the weeks and months. As you track them, even occasionally, you will become more and more aware of the Program within which we live. Don’t let the conditioning of the day take you away from following your Strategy and Authority. Just look deeper into what is happening to you and around you.
Take this transit as an opportunity to see these themes occur within and around you. As you see them you will then have the opportunity to consider that you yourself may indeed be a pattern in a larger Program, as described by The Human Design System. If you can verify the truth of the transiting Gates in your life today, then I trust it will remind you to come back to following your Strategy and Authority - for that is the way to play the game. It is the way to wake up mechanically and experience what it is like to flow along in your life as yourself, without the resistance that comes from trying to live a conditioned life in a ‘Not-self’ world.
As we notice the daily impact upon our own Human Design imprint during the day, we naturally grow in our awareness of ourselves and the adventure of what it is to be alive in a world that is constantly conditioning us.
Those who are Reflectors can align to the daily transit, paying particular attention to the drive of the Moon. The rest of us, Manifestors, Generators and Projectors are here to resist the conditioning in terms of our decision-making and learn from it to increase our wisdom.
